i just updated the website with an audio player so you peeps can hear the music there as well. i’ll probably end up posting the whole album at some point.

not a big deal but i thought it was cool.

I’ve uploaded new songs onto MySpace/Facebook. These are the final mixes that are being printed right now. I hope you enjoy them.

Speaking of printing, we’ve decided to have the release party in September. We decided this for two reasons: 1) Jeff is going to be gone for two months tree planting, and 2) iTunes won’t have the album until a few months after we receive it anyway. We are going to be playing shows throughout the summer in various places and will have the album for sale wherever we are. So feel free to ask us for a copy anytime and if we can get it to you, we will. We won’t be mailing it out, this is just for people who have direct contact with us. By the time September comes around it will be on iTunes and that will be the official release.

A little side note, because I’m excited about it: Saturday we got together and wrote 3 new songs. We think they’re great and it felt really good to finally be completely creative. We’ve been working on the album for a long time and writing something new gave us a huge boost in excitement.

As cool as tapes would be, we’re actually getting the album on the 29th or 30th…in CD form.

We just got the shipment of the album and the print company produced all the copies of the album on cassette tapes instead of CDs.

so right now the record is somewhere in a factory in new jersey getting made. should be done late next week.  then it will be shipped to us. ironically, it will be the only good thing to ever come out of new jersey.

If this whole recording process was a progress bar on a computer, we would be at 99%.

We have received the masters today and tomorrow we are going to sequence and burn a final copy of the album, which means that printing will start this week.

Just added four songs to MySpace and Facebook.  As you may already see they are: North, Holiday, Picture of Beauty and Find A Place To Land.

These are the pre-master mixes that are being sent in to the mastering/printing company.  Once they master the tracks they send them back to us to arrange the songs and then we send a burned disc back to them to print.  This is all done through snailmail so it might take a week or two.

If you’ve heard us play Holiday live, this is a quite different version.
